BANK HOLIDAY REPORT
What we did on our holidays
John Wroath and Pete Byrne last sited driving that familiar old white van towards a ferry port bound for Ireland (Bank Holiday Monday). They will be visiting Island musician Mick Jolliffe on the Dublin leg of their tour. Duncan Jones, Zara and Charlie are off to Spain tomorrow. Adam Kirk somewhere in America after completing the first leg of Joan Baez's 1998 tour. Brian and Jan Munro still looking suntanned and grinning after spending a month in Texas soaking up the music.
Meanwhile closer to home Nick Potts is setting up a recording studio with Roland Jones and working as a duo with Irish Dave. Geordie Mick is turning the Three Crowns into the Rose and Crown with Sunday sessions featuring Sporting Life alias Wroath and Jones. Next Sporting Life gig is a week Thursday at The Waverley in Carisbrooke.
Pete Turner is active in the parish of Gurnard for the May elections. Vic King last seen weeding his garden. Sue Byrne watching Ballykissangel.
