Islander in Japan
Earlier this week Bruce Howell from Tokyo signed our guestbook and asked:
'Did you know there's an Islander in Japan regularly gigging around Tokyo with a band called MINX? Well you do now! MINX have once played on the Island - at Smallbrook last summer. Thought you night be interested. Check out our page:'

The band's website includes this clip from a Tokyo newspaper:
'MINX' "A six-song effort by Minx, a four-piece outfit sporting guitar/bass/drums plus additional horns. This listener found Minx relatively free from the egotism of Oasis and co., and equally as talented. Their songs, such as the opener "KFC" or the closer "Together" have a playful sense of humor, are tightly constructed, and the horns give them just the right amount of ska swing. The vocals are hoarse and deadpan - a refreshing change from your usual Britpop whinge." tokyo classifieds
Having heard enough of Beatle clone bands myself like Oasis ('Britpop whinge', how true . . .) Minx sound a tad interesting. Hope Bruce will keep us posted.
