The Quest - Historic Tour of Route 66

Appearing at The Fountain in Sandown on 16th October, are The Quest. This is the band who lived their mutual dream - to bring their Rhythm and Blues music to cities along Route 66, from Chicago to Los Angeles.

An historic tour, they were the first band since the great Big bands of the 1940's and 50's - names like Miller, Dorsey, Goodman and Whitman, - to travel the route, playing all the way.

Most of the members of the band have known each other for years, and all have a strong interest in R & B from the United States. The tour took fifteen years to become a reality, and there were several changes to the ultimate line-up before the venture got started.

They cover material by The Animals, Clapton, The Beatles and the Stones, and also do some original stuff.
