Shooting the breeze in Gurnard

Keith Gore is back from the North and is in fine form. He has asked Vic King to think of a cover for his latest tape. Should be interesting.

An impromptu party at this house after Blue Print had resurrected their reputation at The Portland heard Richard Otley giving it his special 12 string stuff, pretty good.

Sunday 17th Richard and Gary have got this music thing together at The Portland and it's pretty good. Contributions from Keith, (Chip Shop Kate) and Quality Time, plus me doing some poetry reading and playing 12 string through an effects pedal, which prompted Colin Downer to remark about a cross between Hitchcock and Keith.

Previous Friday saw The Jones' at the Anchor, a first outside gig on the patio, not as good as indoors but Cowes was treated to the stinging tones of Chiz and co belting out their usual stuff.

Cut to Friday 23rd and Jimmy's Big Fish were in doors at the Anchor and a party atmosphere got a very special weekend off to a great start.

Saturday 24th I caught Tzigana ( or what ever ) at The Woodvale the place was packed to the rafters and very uncomfortable. The music as usual was excellent, but Jane and I left for cosier surrounds. (Roll on the winter).
